About the Global Landscapes Forum Paid Remote Internships Program
Applications are now open for the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) remote paid internships program, offering aspiring young professionals a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable development initiatives worldwide.
The GLF Internships Program, organised by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) in collaboration with CIFOR-ICRAF, is a nine-month, full-time program designed to provide valuable hands-on experience for young professionals passionate about environmental sustainability and global development. Interns will work remotely while actively supporting various GLF teams, including youth programs, communications, and knowledge management.
The program aligns with key global frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Climate Agreement, and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Interns will gain practical experience in environmental sciences, communications, youth engagement, and sustainable development while contributing to GLF’s global mission of creating impactful, sustainable landscapes.

Eligibility Criteria for the Global Landscapes Forum Paid Remote Internships Program
To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s (MSc) program in Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, Environmental Communications, Political Science, or related fields.
- Alternatively, applicants with a Bachelor’s (BSc) degree and at least two years of relevant experience in sustainable development, communications, or youth engagement are also eligible.
- Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills, such as Spanish, French, or Portuguese, are considered an asset.
- Strong organisational, research, and communication skills.
- Experience with social media campaigns, event management, capacity development, or youth organisations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with tools like WordPress, Canva, Trello, or other relevant platforms is a plus.
