The GMT Program is a prestigious global initiative aimed at nurturing future leaders who will drive the success and growth of International Breweries Plc. Since its inception, the program has trained over 2,300 talented individuals, many of whom have risen to leadership positions within the company.
This 10-month immersive program is structured to provide hands-on experience, leadership development, and in-depth exposure to different business functions. You will rotate through key areas of the business, working on real-world projects that contribute to the company’s strategic goals.
What to Expect in the GMT Program
As a graduate management trainee, you will experience a unique blend of practical learning and leadership development, including:
- Three-Month Functional Rotations: Gain exposure to different business areas such as Marketing, Sales, Technology, and Supply Chain/Logistics. These rotations will equip you with a broad skill set and a deeper understanding of business operations.
- Global Induction at Cheers! Festival: Kick off your journey with a global induction event where senior leaders will share insights into the company’s strategy and vision. You will also have the chance to network with GMTs from around the world.
- Access to a Global GMT Alumni Network: Connect with past GMT participants for mentorship, career guidance, and collaborative opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria
International Breweries Plc is seeking passionate, talented, and driven individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A completed bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in a STEM discipline). A postgraduate degree in Business Administration or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Work Experience: Candidates must have no more than three years of full-time formal work experience by the program start date. (Internships, vacation work, short-term contracts, and co-op experiences are not counted toward this limit.)
- Eligibility: Applicants must have legal work authorization (full citizenship) in the country where they are applying. For Nigerian applicants, completion of the National Youth Service (NYSC) is required.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Mobility & Flexibility: Candidates must be open to relocation and working in different locations, as mobility enhances career growth and opportunities within the company.
