The Civic Program Manager, Fully Remote (60,000–80,000$) is now accepting applications
The Program Manager is responsible for building and leading the Civic Engagement team, executing the Civic Engagement strategy, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Future Coalition Civic Engagement Program.
The Program Manager will provide additional strategic insight around civic engagement program strategy and will oversee key operations including executing organizational endorsement programs, building the Take it Back Network State Table program, oversight of the candidate development and recruitment program, oversight of the Take It Back & Future Coalition grant program, maintaining key partnerships operating in coalitions through developed outreach plans, and the build out of Future Coalitions electoral independent expenditure political program during election cycles.
The Program Manager works closely with the Director of Programs to support Future Coalition’s electoral program, endorsement strategies, and its partnership networks. Additionally, the Program Manager will work to ensure high-level coordination between the various civic-related areas of work in the organization: Civic Engagement team, March On PAC and Future Democrats PAC.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead the Civic Engagement team, providing guidance, support, and strategic direction to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Civic Engagement strategy in alignment with Future Coalition’s mission and electoral priorities.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Civic Engagement Program, including managing endorsement processes, building the Take it Back Network State Tables, and supporting candidate development and recruitment initiatives.
• Supervise and administer the Take It Back & Future Coalition grant program, ensuring proper allocation of funds and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Maintain, cultivate, finalize and formalize key partnerships (state, local & National) representing Future Coalition in coalition spaces and executing robust outreach plans.
• Lead the build-out of Future Coalition’s electoral independent expenditure political program during election cycles, coordinating with relevant internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Programs to align civic-related activities across the organization, including work with March On PAC and Future Democrats PAC.
• Maintain consistent, timely communication via Slack, email and Airtable with internal staff.
• Coordinates with Operations, Finance and Development to track budget and expenditures of civic projects.
• Collaborate with Operations on outreach, hiring, and onboarding for centralized and local civic staff.
• Work with the electoral team, Legal, and Operations to ensure C3/C4 compliance and organizational compliance throughout the election cycle.
• Support the Civic Engagement team members with political strategy, timelines and budgeting, campaign tactics, and navigating youth led campaigns.
• Participate in the development of Civic Engagement operational strategies and propose implementation methods.
• Coordinate with the Director of Programs to provide resources to the C3/C4 Civic Engagement Program.
• Lead the Future Coalition endorsement process during electoral cycles.
• Prepare frameworks for feedback, budgets and schedules.
• Understand conflicts with teams and provide solutions; proactively communicate issues that arise to leadership.
• Encourage C3/C4 compliance within civic programming.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Operations department to hire, onboard, offboard, and mentor members of the Civic Engagement team to develop their skills and ensure high performance.
• Establish team goals, delegate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
• Provide ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure alignment of activities, resources, and support for the Civic Engagement team.
• Ensure team members know and understand Future Coalitions policies and legal guidelines.
• Provides support and solutions when conflict arises and proactively communicates issues to leadership.
• Leads accountability reviews for team members.
• Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 4 – 6 years of experience of coalition building/ maintenance, campaign development, and Campaign management/execution
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
