The Fellows Program
The International Development Fellows Program (IDFP) is designed for professionals committed to a career in international development. Fellows gain hands-on experience through a 12-month placement in one of CRS’ country programs, focusing on areas such as project management, proposal development, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and operations. Graduates of the program often continue their careers with CRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Develop project plans and budgets, coordinate start-up workshops, facilitate planning meetings, monitor project progress, and manage risks.
- Project Design & Proposal Development: Lead proposal development processes, write concept notes, and create competitive strategies for various sectors and donors.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Design and implement data collection tools, analyze project data, and propose program adaptations.
- Operations: Support recruitment, procurement, supply chain management, and security protocols
Catholic Relief Services Qualifications
- Education: Graduate degree in fields like Sustainable Development, Global Affairs, Development Economics, or Public Administration.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of work experience, including six months in a developing country.
- Skills: Strong relationship management, communication, and mentorship abilities.
- Languages: Fluency in English required; proficiency in languages like French or Arabic preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 10-25% within the country of assignment.
