About St John’s College Oxford
St John’s College Oxford, is offering Career Development Research Fellowships for early career researchers who have recently completed, or are close to completing, their doctorates. These fellowships provide an exceptional opportunity to build a research profile within a collegiate community.
Up to seven fellowships will be available, starting from October 1, 2025, or soon after.
St John’s College Oxford Fellowships Subjects
- Modern Languages (focus on modern and contemporary literature and film, with preference for French, German, Comparative Literature, and Film Studies)
- History of Art (modern and contemporary art history)
- Fine Art
- Law
- Mathematical Sciences
- Computer Science
- Psychology (all areas of research excellence, including cognitive and behavioral neurosciences)
Fellowships are fixed-term for four years, with flexibility for the start date in exceptional circumstances. The annual salary is £40,521, plus a £1,500 Oxford University Weighting payment. Fellows will also be enrolled in the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) pension.
