About the British Academy International Writing Workshop 2025
The British Academy International Writing Workshops 2025 is an exceptional opportunity designed to elevate the research capacity and publication prospects of scholars from developing and least developed countries. This initiative focuses on fostering robust academic networks, enhancing research collaborations, and providing tailored skills development — all with the goal of increasing the visibility and impact of research emerging from these regions in the global humanities and social sciences landscape.
The Writing Workshops program specifically aims to:
- Build and strengthen professional relationships across borders.
- Offer guidance on publishing in high-impact journals.
- Equip participants with strategies for career progression in academia.
- Drive forward the uptake of critical research from developing countries into the wider scholarly discourse.
This round of the program emphasizes equitable partnerships and seeks to address systemic imbalances by supporting researchers who often face structural barriers to global academic engagement.
