Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

For Europe-Based Candidates:

  • Must be enrolled in a European university and eligible for a Pflichtpraktikum (mandatory internship).

For Africa-Based or International Candidates:

  • Must be a recent graduate or between academic programs.
  • Enrollment in a university is not mandatory, but applicants must be able to work during GMT+1 or GMT+2 time zones.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English
  • Experience with data analysis or visualization is an advantage
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude with excellent time management
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills in multicultural settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completed or ongoing graduate studies in relevant fields
  • Previous experience in policy, research, or advocacy environments
  • Availability to work partially or fully from APRI offices in Berlin or Abuja is a bonus but not required
  • Multilingual proficiency is considered an asset

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated based on:

Shortlisted candidates will go through a three-stage selection process:
