Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Academic Qualifications:

Undergraduate students must be in their third or fourth year with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 or equivalent.

Master’s students must have completed a first-class honours bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.

Research Background:

Candidates should demonstrate strong academic performance, interest in research, and relevant experience in their chosen fields.

Language Proficiency:

Applicants are expected to have a high level of English proficiency. If applicable, proof of English language skills, such as IELTS or TOEFL scores, may be required.

Selection Criteria

Scholarship Benefits

A scholarship award of HK$10,000 upon successful completion of the program.
Airfare reimbursement of up to HK$5,000.

Accommodation reimbursement of up to HK$5,000.

Conditional offers for the HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship for exceptional candidates. This prestigious scholarship is valued at up to HK$433,300 in the first year.
