Eligibility Criteria

Eligible applicants for the CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars Program 2025 must meet the following criteria:

There are no geographical restrictions, making the program accessible to junior faculty members worldwide.
Applicants must hold a PhD (or equivalent degree) and must be employed full-time at a higher education or research institution.
The program is designed for researchers in independent leadership roles, typically tenure-track Assistant Professorships in North America or similar positions leading to permanent faculty appointments in other global regions.

Applicants must have started their first eligible academic position between July 1, 2020, and July 1, 2024. Special considerations may be given for parental leave or other extenuating circumstances.
The applicant’s current position must be secure for the duration of the program term, which runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027.
Postdoctoral fellows are not eligible for this program.

Applicants must have research interests that align with the themes and objectives of an actively recruiting CIFAR research program.
